Dillard's Byrd, Snowden bring home HBCUAC Women's Track & Field Weekly Honors after Championship Performances
NEW ORLEANS - April 15, 2025 - Dillard University track and field athletes Kevell Byrd and Reign Snowden garner Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week after earning HBCUAC Track and Field Championship Most Valuable Track and Field Athletes, conference announced Tuesday.
Byrd won the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter dash and ran legs on the winning 4 x 100-meter and 4 x 400-meter relays. Her times in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes surpassed the 'B' qualifying standard. She helped the Lady Bleu Devils clinch their fourth straight conference title. Byrd ranks in the top 10 in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and top 15 in the 400-meter dash.
Snowden, who is in her freshman season, won the hammer throw and had podium finishes in the discus throw and shot put. She finished the championship with 25 points. Snowden ranks 28th among HBCU athletes in the discus.

About HBCU Athletic Conference
The HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) is the only HBCU conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
