Stillman's Metto wins HBCUAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
NEW ORLEANS - September 23, 2024 - After running the fastest time on his team for the second consecutive week, Amos Metto of Stillman College wins Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for September 16-22, the conference announced on Monday.
Metto, who was selected to the Preseason All-HBCUAC completed the eight-kilometer Firehawk Invitational race held at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in 31:24.5 - averaging a 6:19 mile-pace on the same course as the 2024 HBCUAC Championship. His time ranked in the top 60 percent of a 110-man field which featured athletes from National Collegiate Athletic Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics schools.

About HBCU Athletic Conference
The HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) is the only HBCU conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
